Seagulls take the 3 points

A game that has put us back in the running for the title with 3 solid points, has boosted the hopes of both players and parents. Todays weather was close to the minus category, which probably was beneficial to the players, but not to the coach and supporters. The game began with a fairly quick goal by Sarah who controlled the ball brilliantly running the ball a few metres then placing it deep into the left hand corner of the goals. all defenders played their role today, with several clearances and well timed tackles.

Bec Brown was superb, in the central defence. A patient and controlled player is what we need and when the ball is at her feet, she has the ability to hold the ball, fend a player and look for a pass. her huge boot gave the forwards something to run onto, and she was unlucky to not walk away with a goal. congratulations bec, man of the match.

Another player which should be credited for their performance is miku. generally a quiet player on the field, miku came out with 2 sensational goals, one being at least 40 yards out. (take note shelly)

Nicole played well in a position not favoured for her, while helen was able to focus on the game even with her irrit boyfriend and friends yelling on the sideline. Aimee and Beth both played well up front, while kristina and britt took control of the wing at all times. kristy was once again amazing, just falling short of keeping a clean sheet. With the final score 3-1 it was good to see viktoria walk off the pitch with a smile on her face. Also thanks to nicoles mum who took some beautiful shots and will soon be released on this blog as soon as possible
