Gulls fall short of goals

Round one, had finally come. The team was ready to go except for a certain few who had only just gone to bed and woken up half an hour ago.

Vik played well demanding the team into positions while Bec stunned the team of heathcote with her full field kicks. Sofia and Kristina took control of the right side of the field while miku and nicole worked hard in the midfield. An unlucky goal was scored against us when Anya couldnt keep her legs closed letting the ball slip its way through. (chin up). our threw balls made their defence nervous but unfortuantly, the goals just did not come. it was later into the second half when sarah received a ball from out wide, lifting the ball above the keepers head and into the goal. (happiest moments of coaches life).

with only a few minutes remainding, defence lost position resulting in a heathcote striker approaching innocent sofia in goals. There was nothing that could be done, but overall, Jacob was very happy with the teams performance.

Man of the Match was Shelly for controlling the midfield, and putting dangerous threw balls into the defence. Well done girls.
